Designer Gulcan Ardic started her education at the Cagaloglu Anadolu Fashion Design High School. After completing her degree in ‘leather design’ at the the Mimar Sinan University, she continued her education at the Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts completing degree in fashion design.
In the Led 08 Leather Design Competition (a competition for professional designers) she has won the third place with her women’s leather collection which she entered in the last year of university while she was still a student. Following this achievement she has then worked at Harmanli Deri and then started working with Arzu Kaprol as a Houte Couture designer for seven years .
In 2011, she presented her own houte couture collection for two seasons at the Istanbul Fashion Week as one of the three designers of Studio Kaprol. She also had her own runway show at the Pure London which works in partnership with Istanbul Chamber of Commerce.
Currently, she is continuing to create designs in the company which she created in collaboration with her pattern designer twin sister at Can Ardich brand.
Designer Ozgecan Ardic graduated from Beykent University at 2005 with a degree in Textile and Design. She graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts which she has entered with a first class grade. She has won an award at the İthip 2010 tapestry design competition which she then won the privilege to display her designs at the Heimtextil Exposition in Germany.
In 2011 under the direction of Arzu Kaprol she has designed two seasons of print patterns for three women’s brands including Network, Que and Arzu Kaprol Prete Porte.
Later on the same year, she worked for Coke Design by Studio Kaprol collaboratively with designer Gulcan Ardic on her Houtu Couture women’s collection. She has worked with Coke Design team developing two seasons of print patterns.
In addition to her achievements, she has taken place in Istanbul Chamber of Commerce’s Design Workshop project in 2012. As a result of her success at this project, she presented her first women’s collection under the name of Can Ardich at the Pure London Fair.
As of 2012 March she is living in London. At the beginning of 2013 she has started creating pattern designs for Alien vs Human brand. Currently she is continuing to create avant-garde pattern designs, t shirt designs, textile surface designs as well as clothing designs for Can Ardich brand.
